Arcade regenerated and property use granted to the Municipality of Patras by the Greek National Savings Bank

The Greek Postal Savings Bank is the owner of a property on Georgiou A Square, on a 590 sq.m. corner plot, on which there is a ground-floor conservation listed arcade, which is the work of Ziller and covers an area of 165 sq. m.

The Greek Postal Savings Bank, in collaboration with the Municipality of Patras, the Cultural Capital of Europe, and as part of the programme «Regeneration of building edifices for 2006», decided to grant to the Municipality the use of this specific property for the year 2006, for events of a local nature.

Given the current condition of the property, the Greek Postal Savings Bank will proceed to conserve and regenerate the edifices of this private arcade and at the same time will carry out works to landscape the interior atrium, which are judged to be absolutely necessary for regions of hygiene and safety.

With this action the Greek Postal Savings Bank once more makes a statement of its concern to support the local community.
